Responsible delivery

The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19. Every BottlesNow order is verified at the door against government-issued photo identification, without exception.

What counts as valid ID

A provincial driver's licence, an Ontario photo card, a passport, a permanent resident card or a Canadian Armed Forces ID. It must be current, physical and belong to the person taking the delivery. Photos of ID on a phone are not accepted.

When a driver will refuse

Drivers refuse a delivery when ID cannot be produced or does not match, when the recipient appears intoxicated, or when they are asked to hand the order to someone who has not been verified. A refused order returns with the driver.

No unattended drops

Alcohol is never left at a door, with a concierge, in a lobby, in a mailroom, or with a neighbour. Someone verified has to take it in person.
